Villapark de Hondsrug is a spaciously laid-out but small-scale park with luxurious holiday villas that are mostly located along the edge of the woods. Peace and quiet, nature and luxury are the most important features of this villa park. Close behind the villa park lies the Geopark de Hondsrug. How unique this area is, is shown by the qualification of Geopark by UNESCO. Nothing comparable can be found anywhere in the Netherlands. Everywhere in nature, you can find traces of the old Ice Ages. Villapark de Hondsrug is part of the Hunzebergen estate and is a holiday park where children, seniors and all categories in between can have a great time.

Particularities

  • Two towels per person are included.
  • The villas are from private owners. As a result, the layout and layout can differ per villa.
  • Construction work is currently taking place on the estate at the adjacent holiday park. The inconvenience is being minimised as much as possible.
  • Villapark de Hondsrug is a park free of fireworks.
  • In the summer months you can make free use of three different outdoor swimming pools in the area. These are De Leewal in Exloo, De Zwaoi in Valthermond and De Buiner Streng in Nieuw-Buinen. You will receive 4 passes for these.

At the Hondsrug villa park you can use several sports facilities. You will find an all-weather tennis courts, pumptrack course, tennis tables and a miniature golf course. 
 
Catering establishments
In the hotel there is a restaurant where you can enjoy a fresh breakfast, a cozy lunch or a culinary dinner. The restaurant prepares the dishes with delicious local and seasonal products. In good weather you obviously have the opportunity to have your breakfast, lunch and / or dinner on the cozy terrace.

Discover the natural surroundings at your own leisure while cycling or walking. Visit the outdoor centre Boomkroonpad, where you can walk through the treetops. For a fun day's entertainment, visit Attractiepark Drouwenerzand or Wildlands in Emmen. Terraces and restaurants are not only to be found in Exloo, in the nearby villages of Schoonoord and Odoorn you can also enjoy fine culinary delights. For a great day's shopping, visit Assen, Emmen or Hoogeveen.
