In the town of Zwartewaal in South Holland, the Fisheries Museum is a must-see. Housed in a national monument from the eighteenth century, it tells the story of the history of fishing in Zwartewaal. Around the village, you can enjoy the water and the polders. Forests, dunes and beaches are not far away. Both sides of the Brielse Meer are also great for recreation, as there are sunbathing areas, beaches and marinas here. Want to go out for the day? Then visit the fortified town of Hellevoetsluis.
