Beautiful holiday park on Ameland in the place Hollum. This cozy family park is located near the sea and has many facilities.

Boomhiemke Holiday Park is one of the largest holiday parks in Ameland, but has a small-scale appearance and cozy atmosphere due to its design. The park is located on the beautiful nature-rich Wadden island of Ameland near the Jan Roepesheide nature reserve. Thanks to the peace and nature, you can optimally enjoy a wonderful holiday at Vakantiepark Boomhiemke. The beautiful Ameland can be reached by boat. The crossing from Holwerd takes approximately 45 minutes.

Particularities

  • The crossing to the Wadden island of Ameland takes about 45 minutes. Should you decide to take the car with you to Ameland, please note that you must reserve a place for your car on the ferry well in advance.  For pedestrians, the boat is accessible at all times. Book the ferry on 0900 9238. Information about the departure times can be found at www.wpd.nl.
  • These holiday homes cannot be rented for business purposes and the main booker must be at least 21 years old.
  • The park reserves the right to charge a deposit between EUR 50 and EUR 500 per person on site. This deposit depends on the group composition. Please take this into account when making your reservation.
  • Please note that in the period early November 2023 to early April 2024, the Koos Kids Club will be closed and there will be no recreational programme.
  • Please note that in the low season, the facilities are open on a limited basis from Tuesday to Thursday.

General
Of course you can go to the reception of Holiday park Boomhiemke for all necessary information during your holiday. It is also possible to rent bicycles to discover the beautiful Ameland. You do not have to leave the holiday park for the basic necessities, as the park has a park shop.
 
Swimming and wellness
Of course, a day of swimming in the sea should not be missed on beautiful summer days. The beach is only one kilometer away from the park. Is it less weather? Then you can use the indoor swimming pool at the holiday park. There is a paddling pool for the little ones.
 
In the wonderful wellness 'SpAmeland' you can enjoy various types of sauna, wellness treatments, home care, massages and cures, among other things. Are you really ready for a day of relaxation and enjoyment? Then book such a wonderful treat!
 
Sport and game
At holiday park Boomhiemke you can spend an afternoon or evening on four fluorescent computer-controlled bowling alleys, among other things. Or come and play a game of mini golf or pool billiards. There is also an enthusiastic animation team for the children and mascot Koos Konijn regularly walks around the holiday park during the holidays. Of course there are also enough playground equipment at the holiday park.
 
Dining options
For a pleasant evening you can go to the Dûfelshoek café restaurant. Here you can enjoy a delicious snack and drink, among other things. Fancy a tasty snack? Then visit the snack counter De Dok 036.

Location and surroundings

Ameland-Hollum, Friesland

On this island you can fully enjoy beautiful nature. Rent bicycles and make beautiful trips through the dunes or go for an amazing walk on the beach. On Ameland you will find several museums and one of them is the Cultuurhistorisch Museum, where you can learn all about Ameland's traditions. But if you do not come for the cultural entertainment and prefer to look for the action, this is also a good place to be. As a water sports enthusiast, you will be in luck: swimming, fishing, canoeing and kite surfing are all possible on the island. And of course, after an active day there is time for a snack and a drink in one of the many beach pavilions, restaurants or cafes. Ameland is definitely a great place to be!
