Unique 5-person holiday home, spaciously furnished and quietly located in Vinkega

This unique five-bed holiday home, located behind the owner's yard, offers a special stay. The owner also runs an equine clinic on the property. The house is designed as an observation tower, which makes for a unique experience. The characteristic octagonal room with large windows offers a beautiful view of the rural surroundings. From the holiday home you can enjoy the flora and fauna: storks, geese and many other bird species can be seen in abundance here. In summer, you can admire the grazing horses from the heights. It is the ideal base for cycling enthusiasts. Discover the beautiful Linde Valley, cycle through the historic De Eese estate or visit the impressive National Park Drents-Friese Wold, where woods, heathland, shifting sands and stream valley grasslands converge. Nature lovers are in for a treat! Just 20 kilometres away is the world-famous water village of Giethoorn. Hire a boat and explore the idyllic canals and reed beds. For a quick errand you can go to nearby Wolvega. Do you feel like a day of shopping or relaxing on a terrace? Visit the fortified town of Steenwijk, Meppel in Drenthe, or go to Heerenveen, Leeuwarden or Groningen.

Layout

The living room is on the first floor and is spacious and comfortably furnished. You will find a cosy seating area with a sofa and two comfortable armchairs. Central to the room is a large dining table with enough seating for your party. The kitchen is equipped with an electric hob, fridge and kitchenware suitable for five people. On this floor you will also find a separate toilet and a practical room with a washing machine and dryer. The large windows let in lots of light and offer beautiful views of the rural surroundings. French doors open onto the roof terrace, where you can enjoy breathtaking sunsets in summer. A staircase leads to the ground floor, where the bedrooms are located. The main bedroom is equipped with a double bed and has direct access to the bathroom. Please note that this room cannot be closed with a door. The other two bedrooms do have doors. One of these rooms has a double bed and the other has a single bed. All bedrooms have wardrobe space. There is also the possibility of adding two cots. Outside you will enjoy a garden with a seating area, a trampoline and beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. Bicycles can be placed sheltered next to the house, with the possibility of charging electric bicycles. There is ample parking in the grounds near the house.

Location and surroundings

Vinkega, Friesland

The Frisian village of Vinkega is located east of Wolvega and southwest of Noordwolde. You can enjoy peace and space here. A lovely destination for walking and cycling, discovering the unique nature of the Frisian countryside. No fewer than three National Parks are located near this destination. In neighbouring Frederiksoord, a visit to Museum De Proefkolonie is highly recommended. At this museum, visitors go back two hundred years, when agricultural colonies were founded in Frederiksoord and other surrounding villages to fight poverty.
