Luxurious and uniquely situated 2 person house near the Limes in the centre of Valkenburg
This luxurious and uniquely located two-person holiday home is located in the center of Valkenburg in South Holland and only a few kilometers from the North Sea beach and the historic city of Leiden. The holiday home is literally on the Limespad and on an old Castellum. Valkenburg has a rich history from Roman times on the Rhine. The village of Valkenburg is a quiet village but there is plenty to do in the area. The butcher and a baker are literally on the corner.
Layout
Ground floor: Living room with underfloor heating, dining area and a sitting area with smart TV with Dutch and German channels and internet. Complete kitchen with combination microwave, toaster, extractor hood, electric hob, refrigerator, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher. Toilet.
First floor: Bedroom with a double box spring bed and a bathroom with shower and sink, hair dryer and towels.
The cottage is behind the owner's house but there is a private entrance and a terrace with seating. There is also space to park and charge bicycles on the property. You can park your car about 95 metres from the accommodation.

The village of Valkenburg is a quiet village where you can go for your daily shopping, but there is also plenty to do in the area. Valkenburg is known for the former naval airfield Valkenburg Vliegkamp, which was closed in July 2006. Since 30 October 2010, the highly successful musical Soldaat van Oranje has been performed in one of the hangars of this former airport. Valkenburg has a rich history of Roman times on the Rhine. Much can be found in the Tower Museum. The beach of Katwijk is 4.5 km and the bustling Leiden about the same distance. Leiden has a lot of museums, restaurants and beautiful canals.

Das Häuschen ist nett und ansprechend eingerichtet. Der Sitzplatz vor dem Haus ist allerdings nicht sehr gemütlich und könnte bequemer bzw. netter gestaltet sein. Das Geschirr ist etwas knapp bemessen.

Wat hebben wij genoten! Super schoon huisje, mooie omgeving, vriendelijke eigenaren. Bakker en slager een paar huizen verder. Natuurlijk hebben we ook de Olympische Spelen gekeken op een grootbeeld tv. Daar gingen we op vooruit! 😁Fietsen konden buiten opgeladen worden.
