Location and surroundings
Stavoren is the oldest of the Frisian eleven cities. A beautiful, historic place that the culture lover among us should not miss. Do you like fishing or water sports? Then this is totally the cream of the crop. From Stavoren you can take your boat and enjoy the beautiful flora and fauna of this area while casting your fishing rod. Also by bicycle or on foot you will be amazed by all the beauty that the Gaasterland forests, among others, have to offer. Trips to Hindeloopen, Sneek and IJlst are certainly recommended, and a visit to one of the many (historical) museums and cozy restaurants in the area should not be missing from your list.
