Cosy 2-person holiday home near the water in Grou, Friesland

Between the Frisian villages of Grou and Akkrum lies an attractive cottage for two, located in the yard of a residential farm. The cottage is new, fully furnished, and has a terrace overlooking the orchard. Nearby is a wide canal where you can fish, swim, or sail. In summer, the nearby water sports village of Grou is lively. Akkrum offers various amenities such as shops and cosy eateries. The area is perfect for cycling trips and water sports, and the Frisian cities of Sneek and Leeuwarden are also well worth a visit.

This holiday home has a living room with a seating area and a TV. In addition, the accommodation has a kitchen with an induction hob, dishwasher, oven and fridge freezer. There is one bedroom with two single beds. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, toilet and sink. Outside is a fully enclosed garden with a bicycle shed, parasol and terrace. Parking is available.

Location and surroundings

Nes (Akkrum), Friesland

The small village of Nes is located in the province of Friesland, 15 km north of Heerenveen, 20 km south of Leeuwarden and close to the village of Akkrum, where all basic shops are available. This region offers excellent opportunities for all kinds of water sports activities, such as sailing, sloop sailing, fishing and canoeing. The Sneekermeer lake, located nearby, is a popular destination for water sports enthusiasts. Pean is located at the far western tip of the National Park ‘De Alde Feanen’, where sailing with a silent electric sloop in the narrow waterways is an ultimate experience.
