Marknesse is the largest village in the Northeast Polder. A perfect destination for those who love activities on or near the water. There is a yacht centre and a charter company for renting boats. A fun and interesting attraction in Marknesse is the Waterloopbos. At this location, hydrological research used to be done with water, weirs, dams and wave machines.
