Cozy 2-person holiday home on a green campsite near Markelo

This cosy holiday home is on the edge of a naturally landscaped property. There are apple trees all over the property. It is a beautiful, spacious place for the holidaymaker who loves nature, peace and privacy. The surroundings are wooded and interspersed with meadows, fields, hills, heathland, hedgerows, farms and estates. Ideal for cycling trips and walks. One kilometre away is De Borkeld nature reserve with woods and heathland. Restored burial mounds from prehistoric times can be found here. For daily shopping, you can go to Markelo, two kilometres away. Markelo has several good restaurants, a bakery, cheese shop and supermarkets. You can also rent bicycles in Markelo.

Layout

You enter into the hall, where there is a separate toilet on the right. To the left, the hall leads to the open-plan kitchen, which is directly adjacent to the sitting area with a TV. From the sitting area, you have a view of the green surroundings through the available windows. The kitchen is equipped with hob, fridge, microwave, oven and coffee maker. The bedroom is directly connected to the bathroom, where there is a second toilet, a sink and a shower. There is also a storage room, which houses the washing machine. All rooms are on the ground floor, without thresholds, except for a low threshold near the bathroom. Outside, a canopy is available for storing bicycles, including a charging point for electric bicycles.

Location and surroundings

Markelo, Overijssel

Twente is known for its hospitality, which you will undoubtedly experience here. In this area, you will also find many historic castles with beautiful gardens, restored wind and water mills and authentic villages. Each one worth a visit. This area is a true paradise for cyclists, hikers and Nordic walkers, because during the trips, each route provides a different scenery. Do you like to go to the big city? Then Enschede, Hengelo, Almelo and (a little further away) Deventer are recommended. For a day out in the area, the five-star route through the Hof van Twente, the castles tour (by bike), Museumboerderij Erve Brooks and Avonturenpark Hellendoorn are fun and suitable for the whole family.

We zijn gastvrij ontvangen en mochten zelfs iets eerder erin en een dag langer blijven. Alles is aanwezig, heerlijk huisje, een prachtige omgeving om te fietsen. Heerlijk rustig op de camping en veel groen. Goede bedden en een fijne douche. Een echte aanrader.
