Authentic farmhouse for 6 persons near Leiden in the Grean Heart area.
In the Green Heart of the Netherlands, just outside Leiden, you can rent this authentic, detached holiday farm for six persons. This farm dates from 1822 and has been carefully restored. Although many authentic elements have been preserved, this accommodation is fitted with all modern conveniences.It is situated at an age-old farm (in operation). Cows are milked every day and the farm has some small stock. You can cycle, walk, fish, sail or simply stroll amidst the cows. You can observe the activities at the farm as well. There are amongst others go-karts, a playing field and a trampoline for kids.
The Green Heart offers many wonderful walking- and cycle tracks which allow you to discover the wonderful nature and its inhabitants, such as meadow birds.Don’t hesitate, rent this beautiful holiday farm, experience a lovely, well-deserved peaceful holiday!
Layout
Cosy living room on the ground floor with a couple of armchairs, decorative fireplace, flatscreen-TV, DVD-player, CD-player and radio. There is a cupboard bed (1,40m) with view on the farm.
In the kitchen you will find amongst others a stove (four rings), a coffee-maker, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, a Senseo coffee-maker and an electric kettle.
The bathroom is equipped with a shower, sink and toilet. This holiday home has three bedrooms, the first of which has two single beds of 80 cm x 200 cm (can also be made as one bed: 160 cm x 200 cm). The other bedroom has a bunk bed for kids with the dimensions 70 cm x 200 cm. In addition, the house has a bedstead of 140 x 200cm. There is also central heating, a shared washing machine and tumble dryer, free internet, a high chair and a cot and a rowing boat.
Outside you will find a terrace inclusive of garden furniture, sunshade and BBQ. The terrace offers a great view of the “Witte Bruggetje” and the “Wijde AA” (lake). You will have a private jetty, so you can bring your own boat. Finally, you will have a private parking place.

Leiden, also called the Key City, has the oldest university in the Netherlands and the city is known for its rich history, old city centre with canals, monumental buildings and courtyards. It has over 2,800 monumental buildings and sights that can be reached on foot, by bike or by boat: must-sees are the Burcht, Leiden Town Hall, the Pieterskerk, the Schouwburg Leiden and the Gravensteen. Of course, you can also go shopping or enjoy the many restaurants, terraces and vibrant nightlife. For a day out, go sunbathing on the beach at Katwijk aan Zee or take a nice bike ride in the dunes or at the Kagerplassen.

Vriendelijke mensen. Rustige, mooie omgeving. Helaas zijn de ligusterhagen om het huisje te hoog geworden om van het uitzicht te kunnen genieten. Maar mensen die op privacy gesteld zijn zullen dit juist waarderen. Het is erg geschikt voor jonge gezinnen.

Ervaring was prima….alleen bij reservering had ik gedacht dat er een betere optie was vanuit het terrein meteen het water in te kunnen ( nu was er een onaantrekkelijk trapje tussen de aangelegde motorbootjes.). We hebben daar geen gebruik van gemaakt.
Het in gebruik zijnde boerderij was heel …ook door de uitleg van de boer en boerin.

Prachtig huisje, alles aanwezig. Vriendelijke eigenaren, gastvrije ontvangst. Bloemetje op tafel, zoetigheid voor bij de thee/koffie. Rust en ruimte, mooie fietsroutes.
