6 persons holiday home with enclosed garden by the water in Kalenberg

This beautiful holiday home is located by the canal in the reed village of Kalenberg in the middle of the Weerribben-Wieden nature reserve. The accommodation has a spacious and enclosed garden so you can enjoy this special location with the whole family. The beautiful surroundings offer numerous beautiful sights and walking and cycling routes. For example, the well-known village of Giethoorn is only 15 minutes away by car. National Park Weerribben Wieden is a unique water area with beautiful nature, reed lands and a labyrinth of waterways. That makes this region perfect to discover from the water. 

Layout

The spacious living room is equipped with a seating and dining area, a TV and fibre optics. There is central heating in the holiday home. The kitchen includes an induction hob, fridge-freezer with zero-degree drawer, microwave, convection oven, dishwasher, kettle and filter coffee maker. There are three bedrooms, two with a double bed and one with two single beds. The bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower, double sink, toilet, washing machine and dryer. There is also a separate toilet. 

At the front of the house, the garden overlooks the Kalenberg canal and at the back you look out over the reed beds. The garden is fully fenced. You can park in the general car park in Kalenberg. From here, you can walk to the holiday home.

Location and surroundings

Kalenberg, Overijssel

Kalenberg is a small village (ribbon development) in the middle of National Park Weerribben-Wieden in the Kop van Overijssel. The village consists of a number of houses on either side of the Kalenbergergracht and is very idyllic. From here, you can make wonderful cycling and walking trips and enjoy the unspoilt nature. Nearby, you will find Steenwijk, where you can get your daily groceries and visit fairs in high season. Nearby, in the middle of a large lake area, you will also find the beautiful water village of Giethoorn. This place, also called the Venice of the North, offers you, among other things, a lovely day on the water in a whisper boat, canoe or even with a tour boat (with guide).

We hebben een prima week gehad in Kalenberg. Genoten van huis en omgeving. Ons advies zou wel zijn om bv een bolderkar in het huisje aanwezig te hebben zodat gasten de bagage / boodschappen middels deze bolderkar kunnen vervoeren. Voordeur sluit niet goed. Bij ons was er geen parasol aanwezig gezien het weer zou dat wel fijn geweest zijn.

dank voor uw reactie. We hebben inmiddels een bolderkar aangeschaft (n.a.v. feedback van huurders). Parasol zou er wel moeten zijn maar zullen we gaan nakijken. Vervelend dat deze niet gevonden kon worden. Hopelijk tot ziens!

Prettig huis, schoon, netjes, alles voldoende aanwezig. Voelde huiselijk en gastvrij. Goed keukengerei aanwezig.
De omgeving is er geweldig, verrassend en lekker rustig. Lopen van en naar de auto is even wennen (10 minuten), we waren blij dat we een bolderkar hadden meegenomen.
