Charming accommodation 4-6 Persons
This attractive holiday farm is located on the 'Het Reestdal' estate. The nostalgic atmosphere is clearly expressed by the thatched roof. A cozy pallet stove (a type of wood stove) provides cozy warmth in the farmhouse. Enjoying the peace and nature (walking, cycling) are the big pluses. Forest walls, forests, meadows and heathlands alternate. The border river 'De Reest' meanders through this protected landscape.
Layout
The farm is equipped with all amenities: a dishwasher, filter coffee maker, a combination microwave, internet, a shed (for your bicycles), a very spacious garden, two terraces and comfortable garden chairs. On the ground floor there is a spacious living room, open kitchen, a bathroom, a separate toilet and a spacious double bedroom. On the first floor you will find two nostalgic box beds: one suitable for two adults and one suitable for two children.
The farm is located in a leafy spot with an unobstructed view of the forest. In the area you will find numerous attractions, such as: Staphorst (with its traditional costumes), the Zwarte Dennen (swimming, walking and cycling), Giethoorn (little Venice), the nature reserve 'De Weerribben' (also for skating) and Oud Avereest (fantastic walking area).

Location and surroundings
IJhorst, Overijssel
IJhorst is a village in the municipality of Staphorst, where the stork is a familiar sight. The Ooievaarscentrum De Lokkerij was established in 1981 on the initiative of the Nature Conservancy to bring the stork back to the Dutch landscape. With results: the number of breeding pairs is still increasing! De Lokkerij is open for visits during the summer months, definitely worth a visit. The surroundings are easy to explore by bike or on foot: you will discover the Reest valley, the Zwarte Dennen or the Staphorst forestry. Surrounding towns such as Zwolle, Meppel, Hoogeveen and Steenwijk are also recommended: here you can enjoy a terrace, a museum, the many shops or a cosy restaurant.

Wij werden heel gastvrij onvangen met koffie, thee en cake. Het huisje is van alle gemakken voorzien en was echt schoon. Voor 6 personen is het wel klein, meer geschikt voor 2 volwassenen en 2 kinderen. 4 volwassenen kan ook, maar dan moeten er 2 in de bedstee boven slapen. Boven is geen kastruimte. Heerlijke omgeving om te fietsen en te wandelen.

Prima vakantiehuis, alles netjes en erg schoon; prachtige omgeving voor fietsen en wandelen.
We zaten daar perfect. Alleen zou ik hier niet met 4 of laat staan 6 volwassenen heen gaan. Daar is de slaapgelegenheid boven niet voor ingericht, is onze mening. Met kleine kinderen is dat goed te doen, leuk. Dat is het enige minpuntje, verder top!

Rustige locatie. Mooie grote afgeschermde tuin. Fijn huisje met alle mogelijkheden. Enige nadeel vonden wij de twee bedsteden. Als je op leeftijd bent, is het moeilijk om in en uit bed te komen. Verder een heerlijke vakantie week gehad!
