Beautiful Cane Cutter cottage with trampoline and terrace on the Bovenwijde in Giethoorn
This idyllic holiday home is an old reed-cutter cottage and can accommodate up to four adults and two children. Crossing from the street with a small bridge, you walk along a plank path between the reeds to arrive at this beautiful holiday home tucked away in the middle of nature overlooking Giethoorn's water the Bovenwijde. Also known as the 'Dutch Venice', Giethoorn is located in the lake district of the Kop van Overijssel. From here, you can explore De Wieden nature reserve and De Weeribben national park. You can enjoy walking, cycling, canoeing and electric whisper boats. The canals of Giethoorn with their characteristic bridges and thatched farmhouses standing on either side will ensure that you never forget Giethoorn.
Layout
This holiday home features a tastefully furnished living room and includes a seating area with a gas stove, a television and a dining table. The kitchen is fully equipped, including an induction hob, fridge, dishwasher, kettle, combination microwave and freezer. This house has two bedrooms, one of which has a double bed and the other bedroom has a bunk bed, a queen-size bed and a single bed. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and washbasin. There is a separate toilet. Also, this forest cottage has a large terrace with garden furniture, BBQ, a play boat and a trampoline. This property is suitable for up to four adults with two children. Sail through the water village, discover the cosy terraces and restaurants, and visit museums. Explore the surroundings by taking a nice walking or cycling tour through the beautiful park and discover the unique flora and fauna the park has to offer. Rather do something active? Then take to the heights at klimbos Paasloo. Fun for children! If you would like to visit a big city and go shopping, you can go to Steenwijk, Meppel or Zwolle.

Der Ort und das Haus waren traumhaft schön und eigentlic perfeckt für einen schöne und erholsamen Urlaub.
Leider war der Abfluss im Lavabo der Küche verstopft, daher hatte es im Haus schlecht gerochen bis das Problem behoben wurde. Die Geschirrwaschmaschiene war auch defekt, was auch einmal passieren kann. Leider liegt viel altes Zeug ums Haus

The view is amazing, we saw so much wonderful wildlife from the house and great to have such easy access to the lakes and Giethoorn. However, the property could do with a deep clean both inside and out. The crockery was not clean and the outdoor furniture was either covered in dead insects or bird poo. The mosquitoes should be mentioned earlier.

Too bad to hear afterwards that the crockery was not clean. This should been clean and we would have loved to have solved it during your stay.
The cottage is a real nature cottage in the middle of the reed fields around Giethoorn. It is common knowledge that mosquitoes live in water-rich and marshy areas. I also mention this in my extensive welcome email. The cottage is in the middle of nature with thousands of birds and insects, it is not possible to prevent them from pooping and dying.
